I was pleased to learn about available school career and counselor position at Qubaa Muslim School at 2017 on qubaamuslim.sc.ke/career/work-with-us
I have 5 years of experience working as a school career and counselor in addition to my bachelor’s degree in education and master’s degree in school counseling. I am committed to creating environments that are supportive, stimulating, and inclusive, allowing high school students to attain their greatest potential. If given the chance, I will provide excellent leadership and ensure that no kids at Qubaa Muslim School are left behind.
I delivered individual and group counseling sessions to adolescents ages 14-18 about job development, academic accomplishment, social behavior, character building, being a good patriot, being courteous and good to parents, and mental and physical health during my past school counselor employment. I obtained expertise working with students who have disabilities (handicaps) as well as offering crisis counseling to students who are experiencing personal, familial, financial, or peer-related problems.
My Achievements
I am proud of my willingness to be a school career counselor and my ability to enhance relationships and reduce disputes between peers by introducing anti-bullying, peer mentorship, and conflict resolution efforts. My career coach Veli Kapcak has made significant contributions to the following positions:
- Increased the rates by 10% through introduction of early career awareness and career choices for students to study abroad.
- Conducted specialized counseling sessions for students with family and behavioral issues.
- Provided immediate crisis counseling about career choice and courses to study in the universities.
- Increased colleges/universities application rates by 15% after introducing a training program for Qubaa Muslim school students on how to compete scholarship and general acceptance applications.
